Designed, developed and manufactured in-house by Ark Racing Limited, this Bugatti Type 57 Barrel Starter Motor & Lightweight Flywheel Kit provides a complete, high-performance starting solution for the Bugatti Type 57. Engineered to the highest standards using premium-grade steel and aluminium, both components have been developed and manufactured to professional motorsport standards with strength, durability, reliability and performance in mind.
The 2.0 kW Barrel Starter Motor delivers excellent starting performance, endurance and reliability for today's driver, while the lightweight flywheel has been precision-engineered specifically for vintage motorsport applications. Manufactured from high-grade 817M40T steel, the flywheel undergoes Nitride heat treatment and shot peening to enhance durability and fatigue resistance.
Weighing just 11.13 kg (24.53 lb), it offers reduced rotational mass without compromising strength, making it ideal for historic racing and classic Bugatti restorations.
