NOTE: *It is a myth that a lightweight flywheel gives you more power. It actually doesn’t!
What it does achieve is it reduces the rotating mass and inertia in your vehicle. The result is your engine isn’t using valuable horsepower spinning up a heavy flywheel, it's going straight to your wheels onto the road which is where you need it, with the bonus of making your car lighter.
Ark Racing designs and manufactures numerous Starters and High-Quality Flywheels for a variety of Chevy engines like the LS1 and LS9 for Motorsport & Historic Sports Cars.
