Established in 1968, Ark Racing Limited has been producing bespoke starting systems providing a complete service, from concept to the finished product. The business has developed out of necessity, as the starting and restarting of racing car engines have always been a problem. Starter Motors and its components often fail with the demands of performance racing.

Ark Racing specialise in one-off prototypes to batch run production components. For ALL TYPES of applications including:
WRC, WRX, WEC, TGP, Rally One & Two, Cart, IndyCar, NASCAR, Endurance Racing, Hill Climb Cars, Saloon Cars, Historic and High-Performance race vehicles, Engine Dynamometer Installations and many more.
We work alongside Research & Development departments, Designers, Engine Builders and Chief Mechanics of the leading race teams in Motorsport, continually supplying our design expertise and manufacturing our products to the highest standard, ensuring performance and durability in some of the worlds harshest race locations.

To complement the vast range of starter motors and off-car Starter assemblies, we also offer a range of high-quality Flywheels as direct replacements or as a package with our Starter Motors. All the flywheels are made from heat-treated steel with a Nitride & shot-peened surface treatment. The teeth are cut directly onto the flywheel, which provides a lighter mass and strengthened product.
All types of the racing clutch can be accommodated within the package constraints. We can also offer a concentric clutch slave cylinder and mounting if required.
Ark Racing has designed and manufactured a range of clutch mounting studs that are available in variations of both Eccentric & Concentric connotations as 8mm Ø sizes to suit 7.25” and 5.5” racing clutches.
Due to Ark Racing, being a bespoke manufacturer of starters motors, we also can provide our “Rebuild/Servicing Package” for our starter motors - contact us with your interest or to book-in.
